Great post! If you’re interested in watching a documentary about something similar, I strongly suggest Sut Jhally’s Dreamworlds series. I believe we have the most recent one at Library West. I’ve linked the youtube trailer below, but be advised, it’s not safe for work and is incredibly disturbing:
